Ah yes, stats. Might be worth looking at some context; appearances, injuries, team performance etc. Hardly prolific I grant you though.

He is just not a strong Premier League goalscorer. What he brings isn't goals at this level, it is link up play. And it is laughable to think he might get double figures goals if he can stay fit, when we're halfway through the season and he has none. Danny Graham, whilst he isn't great, would be a far better lone striker and far more likely to score goals.

Not that I'd particularly like to see us sign Graham.

Why would we be looking at a striker? We now favour 4-5-1, certainly for the remainder of this season. Pog is keeping Alf out, and that's harsh as it is. We couldn't accommodate another striker.

Sometimes its not all about a career, there maybe family reasons he wants to move back to the area and Middlesbrough could be the right option for him. Most of these guys who are average players are still earning enough money to be very well off for the rest of their lives, even playing for clubs in the Championship.
