Always worked hard, but ultimately never looked good enough, but as others have said, possibly because he never got a run in the side. That said, Huddersfield didn't seem to be overly impressed by him.

Good luck to him anyway. Hope he does well for them.

He's been a good servant to the club but he's rightly not getting a look in due to our other stronger options and I don't see that changing any time soon. All the best to him.

A good Championship striker, but currently no more than that.

Piss off Church, you're not worth £5k a week let alone £15k. If he's refusing to go because of that then we should release him.

There is just no proof to support that. He's shit and will be on loan at Orient by the start of next season when Millwall work him out. Any normal club would have put him out to pasture years ago.

Why are people begrudging Church his wages? He did play games last season. He did score the winning goal against Leeds. He was part of the team that won the league. So he has earned his wages.
If he on the other hand wants to play football he should reconsider his demands or else play in the reserves. Lots of footballers do this, lurk around in the sidelines, waiting for the broken leg that propels them into the team.

We have another example at our club in Shaun Cummings. Got his head down when the club would happily have let him move on (and our deeply knowledgeable fan base wanted him out) and waited for his chance. A chance which he took and earnt a new contract.

I agree that it would seem best for all parties for him to start again at a good league 1/lower championship side, but I don't begrudge him holding out for six months...be it in the hope of making a premier league appearance, or to earn the extra cash we offered him.

I think the amount of crap he gets at him from some of our so called 'fans' is ridiculous. Crawley just summed that up for me, fair play he took it in good spirit but it was pathetic to hear some of the chants at him.

If he moves on, good luck to him, always impressed me with his work rate jus lacks the final. Scored some great goals last season especially at Leeds and against West Ham, proper Reading lad who loves the club.

Didn't hear any of that, what has said? Are we sure he didn't take it to heart?

Was that the
"When Jay Tabb scores we're on the pitch"
that turned to
"When Churchy scores we're on the pitch"
which then became
"When Churchy plays we're f/cking off home"?

Almost as amusing as the Kebe....

He couldn't be arsed, he couldn't be arrsseddd, he's Jimmy Kebe, he couldn't be arsed....
verse 2; He's down the pub
verse 3; He's having a w/nk

why dont we all chip in for a taxi to take the clueless clown to Millwall.

granted he has worked hard for us, but hes just league 1 quality at best, and not what we need.
