southbank1871 Meaker should be in there. I remember being quite excited when we signed him and he was utter shit for us.

Goater yes, not so sure about Brooker, he did ok with limited ability. What about Murray? Started with loads of promise which he never fulfilled.

I refuse to accept that. I liked Meaker and his big puffing cheaks.

Goater, also no. Later years striker and was top scorer in his first season.

Brooker? Brooker made me froth at the mouth he was such a crappy talentless footballer and gutless streak of yellow piss. Can't believe I forgot him.

You beat me to it,
Simon Osborn, IMHO one of our best ever players, went to QPR for about £1million and we got Meaker as part of the deal and thought to have cost between £300-400,000-it was one of those signings where the club said that the signing showed the club's intention to challenge for promotion again,,,blah,blah,blah.....which didn't go down too well as we had just lost our best player, the one that made the team tick.

I'll also throw in David Leworthy but I agree with the earlier poster that Paul Brayson is right up there with the worst along with Paul Bodin-maybe we just weren't very good at signing players called Paul.

Evers, Khromeer, Van der kwak, Brayson - 4 racing certs for a start in any RFC flops line-up.

I still shudder just thinking of the ZERO impact they made at RFC.

Ian Royal GK: Van der Kwaak
RB: Gurney
LB: Bodin
CB: Kromheer
CB: Khumalo
CM: Evers
CM: Reilly
LW: Crawford
RW: Fae
CF: Brayson
CF: Mooney

Can't even remember exactly where Evers, Crawford and Reilly played, but it was somewhere in midfield and they were crap. How the likes of Houghton, Jones, Fleck, Scott and Sheppard have avoided getting in my team I'm not entirely sure.

Fae was never a winger / right sided midfielder. He was a central (defensive) midfielder we played out of position.

Drop Dave Mooney (or Brett Williams / Karl Sheppard) for Les Ferdinand?

Sekou Baradji? (barring one cross)

Cedric Baseya? Eric Obinna Chukwunyelu? Benik Afobe (did f/k all - although wasn't needed to really).

Houghton was sh/t.

Definitely Paul Bodin at LB. Gives me nightmares just thinking about it.

Byron Glasgow deserves an honourable mention

(also, he was back playing last season for East Grinstead Town... on the books of Carshalton Athletic earlier this season - not sure if he's still there)

Jackson Corner Colin Gorden

His goals against Chelsea alone in league cup will keep him out of this team.

One of the best I've seen. Maybe drop Fae & Mooney for Murray/Brooker & Fleck/Scott.

Honourable mention for Asaba.

marcusopp A few people have eluded to some previous signings that haven't gone 'quite as well as expected' over this transfer window, so how about a flops XI?
I'll get us started...

GK ?
RB ?
LB Joe Mills (bit harsh, but can't think of anyone else)
CB Martin Keown
CB Matt Mills
LM Jim McIntyre
CM Kalifa Cisse
RM Emerse Fae
CF Robert Flack
CF Keith Scott
CF Uwe Hartenburger (great name, but a flop)

Mills and Cisse never been flops!

Optimist Cisse? CISSE?! Fcuk off.

You can't mock unless you offer an alternative, that's the rules.
I thought he was alright too, but was struggling to think of anyone to put there.
He came here with a decent reputation as a replacement for Sidwell, but wasn't half the player, then left and failed to get established at bristol city. Not sure where he is now
