MmmMonsterMunch If we go down then Legs still has a massive part to play IMO so no don't agree there.

I have not been his greatest fan in this league by any stretch, but in the chump he was excellent for us.

So you dont believe we can pull this off and stay up?

Errrr...no I don't. We're going down.

Well quite. If Tabb is the best we can offer something has gone seriously awry.

Time to start getting rid of the dead wood and getting more technically better players in. So what if he gives it all. Good riddance IMO. More should leave.

Not surprised by this and good luck to him. Played to the very best of his ability for us this season and he'll get a great reception when he comes back but the times they are a-changin.

People want the club to be more cut-throat and this is a perfect example.

Yes he's a nice guy and loyal but sadly he doesn't have the ability for the Prem and will not help us in anyway when we go down.

L,wood has been useless and will never make it in the prem but in the championship he will add more value than Tabb.

One has to go!

Hunt and Harte should be the next to go!

Peeved. Best midfielder so far this season. Always had an excellent attitude despite being unlucky to not play nearly as much as he could have done. Think he's marginally better than Karacan personally. I would have been ok to see us flog Jem and use Tabb instead. In the summer when we're relegated that is.

What are you smoking Ian? You'd seriously keep Tabb over Karacan?

I'd keep both, but yes, on the basis that we're likely to see departures on relegation, we'd get better dollar for Karacan and there's little difference between them.

I am so angry about this, Tabb puts is heart into everything and the club says see you later?

We then sign reserve players that the club class as a major signing?

Lights out as this all signals are ambitions to stay in the premier league.

Fantastic player and will be sad should he leave. Was player of the season for Cov when we signed him, and it's easy to see why. Tenacious, hard in the tackle, a real winner. Also comes across as a very grounded professional, who always spoke well and I'm sure he will be welcomed wherever he chooses to go next (and trust me I expect he'll have more than a few options coming his way).

I guess he's just a victim of the strict Premier League squad rules, and is making way for the new blood. Fingers crossed we don't burn any bridges, as should we go down I'd have him back in an instant. Good luck Jay.

Ps still can't believe you were sent off at Wembley, legend!

As harsh as this sounds, the fact that people are getting angry/upset about this shows what sort of dire straits we're in. #StayJay

Think it could potentially be short-sighted, but otherwise you can't really argue with it. He's behind Karacan & Legs and we've signed Akpan & Carrico so there's not a lot of room left for him.

I agree if we want to progress we need to get rid of dead wood but to be honest Tabb has been better than Legs this season

Strangely his best games for us have been in the PL where we largely thought he wouldn't get much of a look in

Agree he's been much more consistent and effective than Leigertwood this season

Logically I suppose the club are right to do this so he has an opportunity to move and get some games this season but can't help but feel its a rotten way to end

With regard to Leigertwood, he was good last season and probably has the edge on Tabb because of his physical presence in a team of "tinies"

Tabb should have been given the opportunity to leave in the summer.

That said, Tabb's performances this season when selected do not warrant this decision now.

Am I surprised at this decision with Carrico and Akape coming in this month and Karacan back to fitness, no!!!

Tabb didn't get a look in last season and this season basically the whole midfield has been cr*p and McDonet sits at home and picks random players out of a hat and crosses his fingers and hopes that whatever the pairing is works. Tabb or Karajan? Both run up blind alleys and don't have a creative pass which impacts on the game. With all these mega recent signings McDonet has had to clear the decks. Tabb looks like the first one overboard. Let's hope he jumps ship himself. Real Facts. Real World.

I've heard that Madrid and Man city are battling for his signature. So good of the club to let him leave!
