West Ham tell Cole he can go - http://t.co/mngHeKBJ

RFC and Norwich reportedly want him.

Carlton Cole in 12 seasons has scored an average of 6.17 goals per season. Will that save RFC from relegation? Emmm No. Real Facts. Real Outcome. Probably with that clown of a manager. Time for change McDonet outttttttt

Free in the summer. Sounds like the sort of experienced PL player we would look at. Big target man as well. But he'll go to a better PL club than us.

I wouldn't worry about this one too much. Having gone through 60 mins of having the east stand chanting abuse, calling him a c*nt for a big period of the game, I think we've done ourselves a favour, he wouldn't want to come here!

We did the same to Roberts and Cureton when they destroyed us for Bristol Rovers, but they both signed :D

Don't remember that in the slightest, scoring isn't usually a reason we'll give stick to a player. The ground was mainly just silent.

I agree with Ian,I was there and we didnt know who the hell they were at the time.it was silence then heading for the turnstyles before it was over.

Daily fail have us interested in Cole also - could just be a re-hash of the mirror story on a slow news day though?
Not sure he'd really be much better than what we have though...

Everyone who is saying we have Roberts yes point granted but he is coming to the end of his career it wouldn't surprise me if he retires at the end of this year. Niggling injuries seem to be becoming a big problem for him and it seems as if he will have a media career waiting for him when that time comes.

Cole would be a decent signing for us given the right value there is no denying it I would be more than happy to have him especially as inevitably there will be periods where the Pog goes cold. I would rather keep Alfie as an impact player he seems to be more effective during the last twenty or so minutes. But then again I also remember saying that about a certain Shane Long 4 or 5 years ago.

Roberts was tweeting today about having a 45 minute MRI scan on his hip, which would suggest he's not going to be playing any time soon...

The stats deny that he would be a decent signing
260 games scoring 57 goals over a ten year career is shocking, a goal every 4.5 games, 6 goals per season

You can be a good striker and not be scoring goals as Bobby Zamora proved in his first year at Fulham . He still will create chances for us regardless of whether he is scoring or not as long as he is playing well. Wouldn't surprise me if I see Doyle back here despite what he said at the start of the season it really wouldn't.

On current form Doyle is even worse than Cole!
