ZacNaloen He was never actually going to Arsenal

:)

Regardless, a lot of Arsenal fans thought he would! Makes it a little bit sweeter if we pull this off.

Zambia centre-back Stopilla Sunzu has taken a temporary break from training for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations to undergo a pre-transfer medical at Reading, according to his club.

23-year-old Sunzu plays for TP Mazembe in the Democratic Republic of Congo and the club says on its website that he will spend four days in England and join his Zambia team-mates on Friday.

Apparently signed on a 3-year deal. 300k fee.

Could turn out to be an amazing deal or a major flop - that's my prediction.

Yeah. He could be good, average or bad, or somewhere in between good and average, or average and bad.

Not sure at £300k anyone can be considered a major flop these days but I agree

Good assessment - you should think about becoming a scout!

At £300k he could be a major flop.

If, however we we're able to tart him up a bit and sell him on for, say, £600k that would be a major flip.

Moreover if he's got, as I suspect, quite large feet there may be a need for major flip-flops.

Everybody wins.

They keep mentioning he was here as a teenager, does that mean he had a trial or joined the academy?

If I recall correctly, as stated previously in the thread, he had a trial and Reading couldn't get him a work permit, no?
