Actually heard he has an alcohol problem. Which is why nobody really fancies him.

It was a genuine question, as I am not familiar with Dorrans tbh. I am just concerned about investing in a comparable player, who may not integrate, and only serve to unsettle what we have.

Fair one. Is he comparable to Sidwell?

Surely alcohol makes him more attractive.

It's science.

Not got the tenacity or determination of Sidwell but better movement, technique and creativity. I would class Sidwell as a box-to-box man whereas Dorrans is an AM and can play on the wing.

Graham Dorrans looks poised to leave the Hawthorns with Reading understood to have bid £3.5million for the Scotland international.

West Brom manager Steve Clarke said that Dorrans, who started in the FA Cup third-round replay defeat to QPR on Tuesday night, would be allowed to leave this January if the right offer comes in.
Speaking at the start of the month, Clarke revealed: "He feels as though he needs a fresh challenge. We had an amicable discussion.
"We came to an agreement that, if something came along in January that was good for the club and good for Graham, we would listen to the possibility that Graham could leave."
It has now been reported that Reading have bid £3.5m for the Baggies midfielder in order to further bolster their squad in the bid for Premier League survival.
Dorrans has been at West Brom since 2008 after his transfer from Livingston, and despite signing a four-year deal in 2010, he has only started nine league games this season and his career at the Hawthorns looks to be coming to an end.

Why are we so made up about buying West Brom cast offs? He is the only player Clarke is content to release in January - should we not be asking why? I think we can discount them saving wages, or Dorrans (alone) not conforming to their system.

I've heard that he's good friends with Shorey from the time they spent at West Brom. So, we may have a good chance of signing him.

Why would Clarke want to keep a player who wants to leave? They haven't transfer listed him, it is his decision.

Dorrans and Doyle are the two main targets Brian wants by end of transfer window, according to Guy in charge at megastore who was doing the shirt printing.
