Ian Royal Took a mate to that game. 1st time he'd been to the Mad stad. Never, ever went again.

That's a pretty dire line up. No wonder we were shit.

Still, didn't stop you listening on the radio every week since

Did Bernal still really play for us then? Crazy...

He went on to David Beckham's aid, and a peeping tom... hahahahahaha

I though that was beneath you. You disappoint me.

The only time I have got up and walked out of a Reading game before full time. When the sixth went in I took refuge in the Jazz bar (or was it Shooters in those days?)

Working alot round the Bristol area in those days and had to put up with alot of piss taking for months afterwards

Also stayed to the end. The second they put the fifth away I said they'd get to six. We never seemed to conceed 5 unless on the way to six back then. I remember laughing when the sixth actually went in. It was just such a bizarre game I couldn't take it that seriously.

I thought Roberts was superb that game even though Cureton got most of the goals - although I think Elroy Kromheer was marking Roberts!

Left at 0-4 which was in last 5 mins of normal time - one of the only times I have left early, its probably the worst I have seen us outplayed at home ever.

Along with Friday's goal at home to Tranmere this appears to be another game that every Reading fan was at and left early.

Well the attendence was over 13,000, so it's not surprising that a fair few nobbers were there.

I was definitely there and my old man still blames me for the defeat....I was 16 the following weekend, so he arranged for one of those crappy birthday messages to go on the old scoreboard  . Went up at half time and the rest of course is history.......We stayed until the end....my mate who supports Brentford was watching it with us and trying to get a chant of 'We want 7' going in the East/North stand corner..... Strangely no-one wanted to join in.
