CountryRoyal Also I don't like the "he takes penalties" argument, they still need to be put away.

No true Reading fan who has supported us through the majority of the 00s would ever use that article. We've had Cureton, Kitson and now Alf as reliable takers; nobody else. Harte has a reputation, but look at his record from the spot for us. I swear we're always lacking in a decent taker; was it 2 scored out of 7 last season?
And Alf's have all mattered this season too; Stoke, Everton, WBA. Not like slotting one home when your team is 2 or 3 goals up a-la Lampard.

HALF of Le Fondre's goals have been penalties. If Sean Morrison had taken & scored those pens he'd be one behind on 5.

southbank1871 What are Pog's stats like Snowers?

I completely agree, but look at the helmet above me who has litearlly argued that exact same thing!
Even after last season's penalty taking shambles (Barnsley springs to my mind as the most moment, that and Roberts against brizzle ) its really nice to see Alf slotting them away. What I like as well are that they all look like good penalties (well surely if you score its a good penalty), what i mean is they are either very well placed/timed or hit really well and with a lot of confidence.

*sigh*
And the chances of Morrison, Pearce Gorkss etc scoring those 3 pens are nil.
*sigh*
That's why we call these players centre backs.
