Have a look at Martin Tyler's latest blog on Sky Sports: http://www.skysports.com/opinion/story/ ... 23,00.html

So, he thinks Dave Kitson's sending off at Old Trafford was quicker than Keith Gillespie's sending off at the Madejski Stadium, does he?

I'm sure Gillespie got sent off promptly after coming on when the ball was being thrown in and he elbowed Stephen Hunt. Can't have been more than a few seconds after the game re-started and yet Tyler thinks it was 2 minutes! At least Dave Kitson had more a runabout than Gillespie did....

He got sent off before the ball was thrown back in.

My point exactly! Where did he get the two minutes from?

Why did we have a dead referee on one wing?

Not sure if this is the media's fault, but:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20465328
Saints have found the step up to the Premier League difficult, with eight defeats in 12 games, but last weekend's 3-1 victory at QPR ended a six-match run without a win. "You can't take a team that won the Championship and think they'll survive in the Premier League," Pardew said. "You need additions. They have spent money on the squad, more money than us."

You'd think he'd know, wouldn't you?

Not the first time they've been credited with winning the championship.

Apparently the BBC saw two goals that none of us did yesterday

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20846269

"They talk about the past, but this is doable," said McDermott, whose side drew 1-1 with Swansea to rise to 19th.

In the same article
In their second season in the top flight - and Brian Laudrup's first since succeeding Brendan Rodgers as manager - Swansea sit ninth.

Someone had a little too much Eggnog it seems.

Gabby Logan has just said "John Motson has been at the MAJESKI". They do it all the time, not difficult to find out how to pronounce a team's stadium name surely.

Stupid bint. Most media people to be fair do Pronounce Madejski correctly, guess with Reading being promoted last time and the length of time they've now played there, word has spread on how to correctly say it.

Considering quite a few of our own players can't pronounce it correctly, most recently ALF on football focus,
I think we should let her off (plus she's better looking than Le Fondre).

half of our fans say it like that. I am pretty sure Stranded on his podcast says it like that.

Not sure if this qualifies for this thread, but over the course of the afternoon the headline for our win over Newcastle on the BBC has gone from something along the lines of 'Reading come from behind to beat Newcastle', to 'Reading out of drop zone' and finally settle on 'Reading beat out-of-sorts Newcastle'.

Granted we're no longer out of the relegation zone, but no credit for us, it's about Newcastle having an off day... (just like they have done for the past few months)

It was a relegation battle and today we came out on top, credit to our guys. If Newcastle didn't perform, that's their problem.
