I miss my days as an away season ticket holder but it's great for those who made the trip that, the best day of the season so far took place in front of those who made so much effort to be there.

Seeing as SKY have selected this match over Liverpool's thrashing of Norwich as their Game Of The Day, the evening won't be a complete disaster for us stay at homes :P

My son Andy went from Hull Uni on the train. Jealous of him. I could clearly hear the RFC fans on BBC Berks. Very proud of all of you who made the journey. Great day to be a Reading fan.

Great respect to all those who made the trek - a superb effort, clearly audible on my feed throughout the game

And gentlemen in Reading now a-bar
Shall think themselves accursed they were not there
And hold their manhoods cheap whilst any speaks
That stood and saw Newcastle away

Just back myself
Not a bad journey give or take a few snow storms en route. Clear run with the motorways quite empty.

Jealous of probably 50 % or so of our support that are making a weekend of it. :(
I had to change plans so had to do it in a day.

Managed a couple of beers in the city centre before hand. Fantastic place to party and throw some footy in as well

Good support today in good voice, second half especially.

Feds was outstanding today and probably my MOM

Got back at 01.00 this morning after taking a lazy day in Newcastle yesterday.

The only shame of the day was Alfie not stopping to sign programmes after the game but went straight on to the coach. Same with Danny Guthrie but the rest were talking and signing as much as they could - even BMD

My daughter loved the singing in the bar at half time - John Madjeski's magic etc..etc.. earphones, earphones give us a wave.....my shed is bigger than this and other great songs....

Most Geordies were OK yesterday but one barman took exception to us wearing our RFC shirts in his pub on Saturday night. Prat.

Best away day for ages. And as high up as we were not that cold compared to the expensive seats who had a gale in their faces all game.

There were quite a few who weren't exemplary themselves last week with the sub of Jem for Alf. But you're right, I couldn't believe how quiet and negative they were, although a couple of Pardew's substitutions were baffling. Come on - Marveux (sic) for Perch? That's even more negative than AVB was with Spurs 2-1 up on New Year's Day.

That sub alone was a signal that Newcastle were scared and probably gave the team a huge lift. Please never again question any of the subs that BMcD makes
