If we get him, where will he fit in. Because there has been no offers for Pearce in the window, so regardless of the contract BM is going to play him until the end of the season.

Mariappa is only getting better!

And I seriously doubt he's going to be utilised as a DM as we already have 3/4 of them,

If we can keep pearce, then stoppy will be for next season i guess.
maybe we'll sign him, then loan him straight back? Get a pre-season under him?

I can't see this happening. If we get relegated we won't need him as we have plenty of good quality championship CDM's. We would only spend this sort of money if he was of use in the prem and would help us avoid the drop. Waste of money otherwise.

Sounds like if he has a good tournament we'll sign him.

Strange, because if he has a good tournament I bet we don't sign him.

Genuine huh moment here, I don't understand this at all. Either sign him now if he's good enough or don't if he's not, if he has a good tournament someone else will blatently come in and nick him, and if he doesn't we wouldn't sign him anyway. This makes no sense at all.

Latest on Zambian defender
The Royals will continue to monitor defender Stoppila Sunzu after he spent four days training with the club last week.

The 24-year-old is now back with the Zambian national team for their African Cup of Nations campaign, and Director of Football Nick Hammond was pleased to have Sunzu on board.

Nick said, “We had a very good week with him here, we had been trying to bring him across since the summer and this was the first opportunity we had. He was here as a young boy a few years ago so it was great to see him again.

“We’re very grateful to his club TP Mazembe for allowing him to train with us, they have been a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire process. Of course the same also goes for the Zambian FA who were also very gracious in allowing him to train with us so close to the start of the Cup of Nations.

“Now of course his focus will be fully on the tournament and doing well for his country, so we will continue to monitor his performances and will continue our dialogue with TP Mazembe.”

It's pretty obvious that we haven't signed him because of the transfer fee.

I've heard 300k is too much for us, considering we got Baseya for free.

I imagine we've agreed terms, we're just making sure he doesn't get injured.

But if we are waiting to see if he gets injured in the tournament we wont be able to sign him (to play this season).

i cant think that we were involved in that. that has either come from the player himself/representatives or the Zambian FA.

cautious woop?
