It is important that Akpan and especially Carrico get more minutes under their belt as we will certainly need them if we have any injuries or suspensions. Carrico is way off PL match fitness so doubt he will play for more than an hour. We should rest Kebe completely as well as Guthrie and say Pearce. If McCarthy is fit I say rest Feds too.

Who cares if we go out of the cup. We are not going to win it anyway. We need to concentrate on the league and February will be a huge month. See relegation thread in the team,

spot on - id rest as many players as poss, probably not in keeping with what mcd does but id expect the same team to the crawley match with akpan and caricco also playing a part or even starting

I also look forward to our acquiring Faith before this transfer window shuts, before being lumbered with the unbelieveable Expectation in the summer.
