royalexile The Sun tweeting that Kebe has embarrassed the club.

The club should demand that The Sun print an official apology for claiming it is embarrassed. That would take the joke to a whole new level! :D :D

The Sun
We would like to make it clear that we unintentionally assumed Reading were embarrassed by Jimmy Kebe and this is not the case. We now realise that he is Jimmy Kebe and he does what he wants. Reading FC would like it on record that they are actually proud of the half-man-half-god.

From The Guardian Fiver

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"On my way to Newcastle, having medical then sign a 4 years contract. Thank you all for your support you've been outstanding !!!!" – Reading's Jimmy Kebe uses Twitter to announce his own transfer. But wait! Just minutes later...

"Oups i thought if you're french and play football u just pop in to Newcastle and sign a contract. Not a chance of leaving #LoveReadingFc#" – it turns out the Reading winger was making a pithy comment about the recent transfer activity at Le Parc du Saint Jacques.

Final score: Jimmy Kebe 2-0 Journalism.

But Kebe’s joke didn’t go down well with his Reading team-mate Danny Guthrie, who tweeted: ‘Just read @jkebe tweet and s*** myself!! Don’t do that again.’

Kebe exposes the folly of Twitter and lumpen gutter journalists salivating at every rumour, with his satirical sleight of hand he renders the knee-jerk press a parody of themselves with his hilarious prank Tweet. Master manipulator, satirist, abuser of micro-blogging and post-modern wind up merchant, it probably took him all of ten seconds to punch in a few character on his phone to render the whole media like putty in his hands. With effortless, casual flair, typical of this genius, he once again holds a mirror up to the world.
