Some NUFC fans need to get a sense of humour

re: Kebe?!?!?!

Reading have confirmed its a joke.

Jimmy Kebe [!]8207;@JKebe

Oups i thought if you're french and play football u just pop in to Newcastle and sign a contract [!]128513;[!]128513; Not a chance of leaving #LoveReadingFc#

Sh!te banter Kebe

Not really, it was quite amusing. It was clearly a joke, but it pulled so many people in!

Not when you're own club have to say it's a joke. Bet he got a fair bit of stick as well from his fans in that time as well

He might feel some form of punishment from Reading, but I hope not. Or at least not too severe!

Stuka Kebe exposes the folly of Twitter and lumpen gutter journalists salivating at every rumour, with his satirical sleight of hand he renders the knee-jerk press a parody of themselves with his hilarious prank Tweet. Master manipulator, satirist, abuser of micro-blogging and post-modern wind up merchant, it probably took him all of ten seconds to punch in a few character on his phone to render the whole media like putty in his hands. With effortless, casual flair, typical of this genius, he once again holds a mirror up to the world.

That's beautiful Stuka.

More likely judging by the frequency of his tweets (around one every three months) that he was trying to be clever on twitter without really realising the consequences of his actions, but I'll go with your explanation because I like it more and it adds to the legend.

May thy laces stay firm and true and thou socks be pulled on high as thoust struteth thine stuff and doest what thy wanteth.

Of course Sir James of the Kebe is the greatest man that ever lived (well until he buggers off elsewhere anyway)

"I saw a headline saying Arsenal are flying the flag for Britain. I kind of wondered where that British involvement actually was when I looked at their team.

"It's important that top clubs don't lose sight of the fact that it's the English Premier League and English players should be involved. Foreign players have been fantastic. We have learned from them and from foreign coaches.

"But, to some extent, we could lose the soul of British football - the English player."

Yes that's it, I'm definitely getting a portrait of Jimmy Kebe somewhere in my Reading tattoo sleeve that I've got planned.

Pardew is just being a miserable bastard at the moment so just ignore him, but I've not seen any official comment from him anyway

They spoke about it on the football phone in on Radio Newcastle and everyone seems to find it funny. The Sun doesn't count. He hasn't embarassed your club at all. He's increased his own profile massively too, lets be fair, not many people had heard of him.

PistolPete
royalexile The Sun tweeting that Kebe has embarrassed the club.

The club should demand that The Sun print an official apology for claiming it is embarrassed. That would take the joke to a whole new level! :D :D

Yes definitely!

Generally love this from Kebe but he has some serious balls leaving it an hour between tweets! But then I suppose his idea was to see how everyone reacted!
Much love for Jimmy!

He was probably nailing scarlett johanson, halle berry, angelina jolie and loads of other fitties for an hour, so couldn't get back to his computer, which, by the way is a zx spectrum which he's managed to re-wire so it's the fastest computer on earth. Even NASA don't know how he did it!

But can you imagine of Jimmy got totally sidetracked by something and totally forgot to send the second tweet! The total pandemonium that would have ensued between now and Brian bollocking him at training in the morning!
