10 years ago the fans would have been delighted with a Man U draw in the FA Cup!!

Esteban Might be a good thing...stuggling to think why though!

I seem to remember we drew the last time we played there in the Cup

And Feds played a blinder!

Jez 10 years ago id have given my left bollock for this draw. A chance to make a bit of low level history for the club. I think a lot of fans forget how big a club reading really is

Last season I'd have been fairly excited about this but we're going to old trafford a month after this! We don't need these cup draws to play big teams!

Well given the way draws have been this season I bet the final 4 will be Arsenal, ManU, Chelsea and ManC

Dull, dull, dull

Absolutely fuming.

Big 4 sides kept apart, 3 at home, one of them to us.

Statistically we had a not unreasonable shout of an 'easy' tie in this round and a relatively weka set of QFinalists.

Bolllllocks - have to do it the hard way now.

Want more bad new?

Anyone thinking tickets would be quite cheap because it's the cup, think again! Fulham paid £45 for the game yesterday!

If there is a slight hope, I guess its that SAF will rest RVP and Shrek and their defense ain't all that. :tryingtobeoptimistic:

Dammit, really thought we might be able to drag out a Wembley trip this year with the luck of the draw on our side :/

Then again, if we beat United at OT, there is no reason we can't win this

unless we got Arsenal :(

I once slept outside on the pavement all night long in mid November to get tickets to watch Reading vs Utd in the FA Cup.

I wouldn't cross the road to watch this match.

Another glimmer of hope is that on the Wednesday night before the weekend of the game United are away to Real Madrid in the Champions league.

I was finding that out... Top man!

To be fair, that's real hope! No way will he play the big guns!

Forgot about their Champions League commitment, plus they won't quite have won the league by then

So it's not a bad bet they'll just throw a bunch of second teamers out there

So Wembley here we come after all

Very dull. These sort of ties certainly lose all of their appeal when you are competing in the same league.

I'd imagine they'll be pushing for an 8am start for Luton v Millwall

FA Cup the least of Utd's concerns this season + tiredness + our fringe players being well up for it = real chance.

Stop being a bunch of tarts, we'll have to win a couple of tough matches to get to Wembley...that's what makes the FA Cup a worthwhile competition. We weren't going to be able to fluke our way into Europe by drawing League 1 sides all the way to the final.

I don't know, Fergy said quite straight yesterday that they wanted to win the cup! They will probably field at least seven of a first eleven. Whether they'll be mentally or physically up for it is another question!

Do Man U fans really get rattled if we say Man U instead of Man Utd? What's the big deal? What else does a football club stand for with U? ALF got a bit of sticks for it but I don't see why they get all rumbled.
