creative_username_1 How long do you think Bodger will get at L'pool? Has he done well enough for the fans?

I expect him to be in charge at the start of next season. But i fear you are only trying to wind me up. Last time you asked me a question it was when i was gonna stop pretending to be scouse.

Victor Meldrew Liverpool's result and approach morrored that of Spurs,Norwich,Chelsea and QPR.
It is not a cake walk against these lower level sides and the above teams have been outthought and outfought with the European champions still in the competition by the skin of their teeth.

perhaps, but it's more of a disaster for Liverpool, come off it.

Spurs are going for the Champions League placings, QPR and Norwich just want to avoid relegation and Chelsea are, unfortunately, still in it.

Had to have a little titter every time the camera panned to Gerrard (when he came on), giving verbals to the referee on each dead-ball shot.

Oldham (despite their lowly status) were good, welcome to the shit end of the stick Steven....maybe your opinions would've been better served on your own team mates.

Let me just quote your own fans on what you've been saying for years:
NEXT SEASON

Not your match going scouser m8. Most are realists. Ill say it now like i did this time last year. Next season will be more of the same. We will finish somewhere between 5th and 10th. The idots you here on Talksport (or Talkshite as i like to call it) for example John from Devon or whatever are idiots.

Every time a Liverpool fan from outside of Liverpool comes on i cringe over their unrealistic expectations. Like ive said loads of times we are just a team who will probably finish top half. Still won more knockout cup competitions in the 21st century than any other English club though  Just a little fact for those that think we were only good in the 70s and 80s.

After "Being Liverpool" I can imagine Brendan's half time team talk.

Come on lads
OK
Keep it tight
OK
Joe, I want you and Jordan to stay
OK
and Raheem to go wide
OK
Keep it tight
OK

"Disaster"?
Hardly.
A bad result-yes.
When you start a game with Brad Jones in goal,Robinson at left-back,Coates at centre-back and the best English midfielder on the bench I would suggest that the game was seen as giving other players a game, much as QPR did, rather than a full-on attempt to win the competition.
The argument is how else do you find out if players are good enough?
The same approach is often taken by clubs for the League Cup-that is one of the reasons why we have Bradford in the final.
In the case of Spurs and Chelsea it was very much their first teams put out so their attitude needs questioning just as it does with Liverpool,QPR and Norwich.

I don't agree with this approach but that is how it is .
Interestingly with Chelsea Benitez is playing almost a complete first team in every game with very erratic performances.

Coates did have a bad day, but Skrtl who should have been helping him through it, equally failed to cope with Oldham's Centre Forward.

Sterling ineffective (rash even - could have quite easily had two yellow cards in the first half), Sturridge awful, Borini even worse: I take it these would have been included in Rodgers criticism of his young players?

He also had £36m worth of his own signings on the pitch: should have been enough to cope with one or two unknown quantities.

As you know Smegman Rogered never does anything wrong, his own signings are of course fantastic worldclass players, and Borini is clearly better than Bergkamp and Van Persie combined, so clearly it was all the young players' fault!

Have you got any daughters ? Has Rogers shagged them ? You are more obsessed with him than your own team. Very very sad really. (ideal not Wolsey)
