Extended-Phenotype Kudos for Blackpool turning down money and keeping their best players instead of grabbing the cheque and kicking folk out the door like they had AIDS.

IMHO Blackpool are waiting right to the end of the window to see how much they can get, I imagine this will go down to the final wee hours… If we have withdrawn, it's just so BP can't keep pushing the price up, and BMD going public is merely to turn Inces head at the thought of playing in the Prem. I doubt Rodgers is seriously interested as they have Coutinho now... just hope Arry or Southampton (who seem to be after an attacking mid) don't swoop in

Coutinho plays a Gerrard sort of role, he isn't a winger. I still expect Ince to go to Anfield.

Ouroboros A bit gutting that when we find a player we're willing to spend £8m on we can't close the deal. Oh well.

If that's what actually happened.

I don't think we're willing to spend 8 million on anyone - especially a Championship player.

I think we can say with reasonable certainty that we were willing to strike a deal worth as much as £6m for a Championship player. Given that would double the highest fee we've paid for a player, it might just be about time for the naysayers on here to calm down to a panic.

I can confirm that #readingfc bid for Ince HAS NOT been withdrawn - Royals still in the mix, plenty of time to go #bfc http://bit.ly/WLW82g

So just how much of the amount we bid is money up front with no strings attached?

Could be that it is far less than the headline amount. If so, little wonder it was turned down.

Reeks of a publicity stunt to appease the fans who might be a touch disappointed that discount Dan 'Limpy' Carrico and Crawley Town's second best player Somebody Atkar is as much as the club are willing to put into the relegation battle.

- Blah blah, Portsmouth, Leeds, blah blah.
- You want to see my cock? Do you? I mean, I can show it to you if you want?
- .....yes.
- That's right. Yeaaah. There there. Go easy. Yeaaeeeaaah...

...I'd imagine the conversation would go.

Is it really true according to bbc site that he's out of contract in the summer? Surely that would force their hand to sell him ... ?

If so, he's U24 so they would still get a decent fee

Why dont we buy 2 players at 4mill instead of one for 8 mill. who obviously is not interested in the ROYALS.or he would have asked to talk to BRIAN.
