Tokyo Sex Whale Make a fools bid for Ince and appease the fans in the short term.

Fans get annoyed and realise we still haven't actually spent any money

Sign someone sh*t from Sheff to make the fans thankful we acted quickly to get someone at the last minute after our failed "£7m bid".

Release statement about how we signed four exciting players and lots of activity occurred, we're planning for the future and have a sustainable model.

seems alot of bother for almost no benefit

Tokyo Sex Whale I rarely go and watch Reading play nowadays as I don't agree that I should be paying Premier League prices when there isn't Premier League investment. A sign of intent that RFC are willing to invest some serious money would make me reconsider my feelings on attending matches.

Maybe their doing all this so I start paying to go to games again?

my ST was about 350 quid

Its free advertising. They want to increase the fanbase, they get airtime on ssn and can be seen to be mixing it with the big boys and so the kidz will be more likely to start paying them attention. Its a business and don't ever forget it

Tokyo Sex Whale How lovely for you.

I assume that was a ST renewal when we were languishing in the depths of the championship? I'd be intrigued to see if it is that next year if we stay in the Prem.

Same here and I don't expect it to be the same next year - but even so price for ST wasn't that bad really, no higher than it was in 2006, which is pretty good given inflation etc.

Because that would be unrealistic, not believed by journos and get no coverage.

just saying it seems pretty good value, and reward for my faith and loyalty
if we stay up this season, the club deserve an increase in ticket prices imoplus i dont think they will put th eearly birds up by any great ammount.
