Royal Rother Minutes per goal ratio must be pretty impressive.

As must his (and the team's) shots per goal.

Anyone have these to hand, or know where to find them?

Someone on BBCRB reckoned its a goal every 43 minutes

Top English prem goalscorer.

On the basis that Torres is 50million and Carroll is 35million, bids in excess of 100million should be a minimum.

In the real world he has to be worth at least 20million.

We wont sell as they will effectively be us relegated.

I'm guessing the caller hadn't included Walcott's goal from last night, without which I think Alf would have been joint top with Defoe and Lambert.

Pre Anton I reckon this probably would have happened, even though when Dellor raised the point last night McDermott said he wouldn't sell him.

How do you value a number 9?

by Mr Irascible » 31 Jan 2013 09:42

Fernando Torres £50m v Adam le Fondre £300K. But who was the better number 9 last night? Football, bloody hell!

Torres is a good player but worth nowhere near £50m. i wonder if the instruction is to play him, get him back in form and sell him

on yesterdays evidence, id say torres' valuation has dropped to £10-15m and Le Fondre's valuation has increased to £10m

howser I would be very amazed if that is even considered a possibility by the bosses, in any case you won't get Le Fondre cheap, he is making himself an expensive target for any takers, his present value ???? £7-8m ?? anyone agree or disagree ??

i think that's a slight over-valuation, but 5mil wouldn't be far off the mark

that may be what someone else was willing to pay, but he is worth so much more to us, a 5 million bid would be almost insulting

No it wouldn't. You come out with this guff pretty much every January transfer window and it's always bollocks.

You either have a very select or poor memory. My comments during the January windows of the past have tended to be more about lack of investment than flogging off family silver, as the latter tended to happen during the summer. Anyway, our history is riddled with instances of our best players being sold off to balance the books. So it is you talking bollocks!
