Sunzu has been made to seem like a bit of a headcase, but I do have to wonder how much of it is because that Zambia times website just makes shit up.

According to information got from the chairmanship of TP Mazembe; Felix SUNZU STOPILLA passed his test in an English club of Reading. Therefore, he should be taken by the Premier League club before the end of the winter Mercato which closes on January 31.
The chairman KATUMBI was delighted when he received this news of the positive outcome of the test that his central defender passed during the London campaign: "For every expert who has followed SUNZU in 2012 in Zambia and at ours, no doubt was allowed. This is a great player and for me there was no need to test him again. The English wanted to totally reassure themselves, now it’s done...” KATUMBI said.
The Turkish midfielder, Jem KARACAN of Reading the most rated player in the club didn’t doubt neither. "I knew SUNZU when he came to train with us in 2007, after the U20 world championships in Canada. I am sure he will help us a lot because we have the worst defense in the championship. In addition, this is a great guy who always has a big smile ...” he said.
It only remains the formalization of the transfer and he wishes the great central defender an excellent AFCON 2013 underthe Zambian tunic.

Has something actually changed then i.e. TP have agreed he's not under contract currently or is the above just the Zambian press(?) catching up with a medical Sunzu supposedly had 2 weeks ago?
That's not a new article mate - he was pointing out the supposed Karacan quote.

He knew his contract was up in December. It's his (old) club that are saying he still has three years there! If a new agent has advised him they have no formal contract, then the player was right and is a free.
Apparently Mazembe are fining him for every day he's away without their permission........
