OUT

Moving it to a Monday night seemed slightly inconsiderate to the travelling fans, but to now charge a whopping £45 for a cup game when it's on TV anyway.... who said the beautiful game was dying?

Humph :|

Reading FC couldn't give a toss what you all think about the prices or the game being on a Monday. They get 50% of the gate receipts and the TV money. That will cover two of our January signings in Carrico and Akpan.

Not that RFC could control which game ESPN wanted to show on a Monday but never mind. Add in the fact that both clubs have to agree on ticket prices and you were never going to get Utd pitching at less than £40 for a game they can sell out at that price. Least we make a nice penny as a result

Does that mean it will be a ridiculous price should we somehow get a replay?

45% to each club, the other 10% to the FA Cup prize fund - but the same principle applies, there's no reason for RFC to argue on behalf of their supporters.

Alexander Litvinenko Pure greed and exploitation of loyalty.

But because Man Utd. have a compulsory cup ticket purchase scheme -where their season ticket holders have to buy cup tickets whether they want to or not - they have no incentive to reduce prices.

Disgusting pricing & utterly ridiculous decision to do it on Monday night. Absolutely out.

Was in, but now I'm firmly out. I'd be in the £35.50 band but I'd have to pay about 40 for trains anyway, not doing that on a monday night, no way.

Utterly utterly disgusting ticket price for a cup tie.

For £45 you could have seen our 3 previous home cup ties against Posh, Arsenal and Sheffield Utd ffs.

OUT

my outrage has been tempered somewhat by the realisation that we charged United fans £36 back in 2007...

It wasn't a personal dig, but while there are always people who are prepared to pay whatever it takes to watch a match, clubs will be able to charge ludicrously high sums.

Because you do have a choice - and that's not to go. Clearly the price is awful, but not *that* awful, which would be awful enough for you not to go.
