On a side note, you have a brilliant young talent in Michael Hector - was probably our best player last season!

Thanks in advance and best of luck for rest of season,

Hi,

Thanks for reading!

I prefer Con Air and blue bounty's to answer your questions. Michael Hector is a young centre-back in the Reading academy, who spent time on-loan at my side Barnet last season, and was fantastic. He is now on-loan at Cheltenham

Not bad for a player lining up against Stevenage, Crawley and Colchester in the past month.

All in all not a bad article. Akpan didn't line up against Crawley though.

My opinion of the piece would vary depending on how old you are. Not bad if you are just a pre-uni teen; needs to be quite a bit better if you're actually in a position to properly "aspire" to be a journo...

One tip - proofread! "Four wins and a draw in their last five OUTFITS" - Akpan has not played against "Stevenage, CRAWLEY, and Colchester in the past month - "GarEth McCleary" is called "GarAth McCleary" - Le Fondre was playing in League Two 18 months ago rather than a few years ago...

Keep it up though... just give things a tightening up in future before looking for praise from your target readership!

First of all, thanks for the feedback. Completely agree about proofreading - need to check a lot better for the simple mistakes i.e. Akpan.

I am 16 by the way, so still got time on my side to improve, develop and refine skills.

Thanks for link to "How to be a football journalist" page. Very insightful and helpful

Tokyo Sex Whale At 16 years old that is a good effort and with time knowledge will grow as will attention to detail - I am sure you'll make a go of it if you keep to it. Its admirable you're having a go already - do keep on posting your articles over the coming weeks/months and i'm sure you'll get a lot of praise and criticism - just use any of the latter to help you improve as opposed to getting downhearted.

Henry Winter will probably retire in 10-15 years so you'll fill those shoes nicely.

Leave him alone you sex pest.
