exileinleeds Rubbish!
Everyone knows you have to spend at least £10m to get a decent striker You will be telling us next that ALF is, in fact, Jimmy Kebes love child.

Rumpole I've always taken the 'dre' as a completely unstressed syllable

M Brook A pre-season friendly at the NY Stadium would be a good way of giving RUFC some of the additional cash they should have got when Alfie came to Berkshire. £300,000 is a little embarassing.
BTW, how do you Millers pronounce his surname? We have a local radio commentator down here who alternates between calling him Le FondRAY and Le FondREE whereas the rest of us call him Le FondRU.

Yes, I am sure that the tiny gate such an unappealing friendly fixture would make would really make the difference.

M Brook ALF appearing would guarantee a reasonable home crowd

Sorry - that's exactly what I intended and had only used capitals to stress the alternatives. I am sure that 99% of us pronounce it the correct way and it's just Dellor (and to a lesser extent Gooding) who get it wrong.
Anyone like to volunteer to put Dellor right?
