We might be unfashionable Reading, in England International selection circles, but quite simply if he keeps on scoring then he will have to be considered, he has scored regularly whatever division he has been in also his goals arn't 2 yard tap ins, in particular his winner at Newcastle and his 2 against Chelsea were as good as you will see, second highest Englishman in the Premiership scoring charts, his record speeks for itself. Additionally of course England arn't exactly overflowing with instinctive goalscorers.
There are arguments that Lambert and Holt, from the lower league originality ilk, are considered to be ahead of him, but they are a different type of smash and grab strikers, Le Fondre is a sniffer, looking for the loose ball around the penalty area, AND A complete striker, right or left foot, and a good header of the ball.
Can he cut it at an international level ? well many doubted he would be any good at Premiership level and he is soundly putting that one to bed, so come on Roy give the lad a chance, you have absolutely nothing to lose and a lot to gain.
