Liverpool are yet to win this season against a team in the top half of the table

Excellent today, my favourite team to watch atm. Sturridge is a serious player.

Strange how he won't celebrate scoring against his old team out of respect for them - but he's quite happy to do a blatant dive to try and cheat them out of a penalty.

Good to see Sky giving the man of the match award to a diving cheat.

mighty impressive if Bale or Young got man of the match in a game that didnt involve Spurs or Man United.

Yeah, that's right. As long as a player of another team does it then it completely excuses every Liverpool player that's ever dived. Ever.

If there's degrees of diving shitness, then Sturridge's comes somewhere between a Suarez and a Bale.

It doesnt excuse anything. I just find it laughable the way diving is called cheating but other attempts to con the ref are not.

Just seen the Sturridge thing

The more I see, the more I am wanting retrospective punishments for those that dont get booked

How about bookings for players shouting our ball when it blatantly hit them last? Or stealing 5 yards at a free kick ?

I'd certainly go for penalties/bookings/free-kicks awarded for the petty squabbling and shirt-tugging that goes on before and during corner kicks.

Yep. 5 weeks of giving a pen 5 times a game might make it stop.

With the exception of watching Reading, I find watching football increasingly frustrating and annoying.

I'm fed up with players spitting everywhere, fed up with them charging up to the ref, fed up of them going mad as it's a goal kick and not a corner - DESPITE, them knowing the ball did hit them last.

I'm fed up of diving. I'm fed up of cliched answers to interview questions and players who are quite frankly, arrogant, rich little sh*t bags who don't appreciate the priveleged position they are in.

I'm fed up of managers as well having the pre-match handshake and cringe worthy 5 second talk in front of the cameras, and then after, shaking hands whilst virtually facing away from the other person.

Then, I'm fed up of post-match interviews where they blame the ref, the linesman, the other players, they moan about poor decisions costing them, they moan and moan and moan about everything.

After typing all this I sometimes wonder why i even watch football.

Would fully agree with retrospective punishments for diving.

And I'd like to see harsher punishments for players screaming and swearing like school kids when things don't go their way. Had just watched the England v Scotland rugby match, mic'd up ref and polite players, switch on the City game too see James Milner scream 'fcuking w@nker! fcuk off!' at a lino.

Its shit. But once you pick a team as a kid you are addicted for life. harder to pack in than cigs or drugs.

Pretty much the reason I don't watch that much football any more. Used to record it all and try not to miss any. Now I record MOTD each week and almost always delete it without watching. Often record the Sunday games on sky then fast forward through to see the goals later that night.

I always assumed it was just me getting older though
