PKF confirm judge grants Pompey 6-month administration extension until August 17

The FL's deadline for Portsmouth to come out of administration is June 30th. :P

EDIT :

A spokesman for PKF added a judge has agreed to extend Pompey’s administration until August 17.

The firm had to apply for an extension with the one-year anniversary of the club being put into administration looming on February 17.

But PKF stressed that the club cannot enter next season in administration and added work will continue to bring the club out of administration before June.

Last week Football League chairman Greg Clarke warned Pompey would be thrown out of the league if they are still in administration by June

So kicked out the league if still in Admin by 30th June. Automatically liquidated if still in Admin at 17 August.

A long read, but interesting. (probably of most interest to the Bean Counters amongst us)

Summary - Chanrai finding various and novel ways of screwing Portsmouth even more than was thought by most (according to a PFC fan's blog)

Another interesting read:
http://www.twohundredpercent.net/?p=21759

why has the club been running at a loss month to month whilst in administration? The HNWI began subbing the running costs at the end of October 2012, when the Trust became the preferred bidder of the club, after the previous preferred bidders Portpin failed to satisfy the Football League’s questions and were deemed ‘unlikely’ to pass the Owners and Directors’ Test.

Since then the HNWI have put £800,000 into the club over four months, indicating an overspend of about £200,000 per month.

So amazingly it appears that the rich fans (HNWIs) have been subbing the club to the tune of £800k to sign the players we thought they couldn't afford. You couldn't make it up.

This club should have been taken out and shot when all this first started

Everything should have been sold off and split amongst the creditors

It's just a total farce the administration of football clubs

The sooner the dedicated Pompey fans are restarting with a new club in the CCL or wherever the better it will be for all instead of having this limping waste of time, space, effort and money clogging up the leagues

As others have said, can we just put this club out of its misery and wind it up?

Fooball League Statment

At its meeting in London earlier today, the Board of The Football League was appraised of the current situation regarding the administration of Portsmouth Football Club in light of media reports that the Administrator, PKF, is considering a new offer for the Club.

The League had previously been informed by PKF that its preferred bid for the Club was from the Pompey Supporters Trust (PST) and all parties have been focussed on a successful transfer of share to that consortium.

Given that The Football League's Insolvency Policy prohibits a club from beginning two consecutive seasons in administration, the Board took the view that any change of preferred bidder at such a late stage would only create further uncertainty and was not in the wider interests of The League and its member clubs.

Therefore, The League has informed the Administrator that it will not currently consider transferring the Club's share in The Football League to a new bidder. This means that in the event that the PST bid does not succeed and Portsmouth do not exit administration before the end of the current playing season, the Club will lose its membership of The Football League.

As I understand it they are in court again next week in an attempt to set a date for the ground valuation to be decided, if Chainrai finds further ways to haggle or delay this valuation they are fooked. The PST have already upped their offer to £3m, you have to wonder where all that money is coming from.

Allegedy Harris was just another Chainrai stooge so that he could screw them to rent the ground.

Best case is they get the valuation agreed and take over completed to start in League 2, worst case is case is liquidation at the end of the season. Tick tock.
