maffff Looking on saintsweb forum their fans are clearly rattLOLed by this.

"Wigan to beat Reading this weekend for sure".

I can absolutely guarantee him that he's wrong.

There is something about thick detritus. It must be the air they breathe.

Bitterness seems to run in the family on the South Coast. Describing a team one point below you in the table as useless League Two toss is a bit rich, it's not like they're top 8 or anything and therefore "entitled" to that opinion...another way of looking at it is that all their Brazilian-style football has been wasted and has amounted to a whole heap of...1 point more than us.

Cocks.

SCIAG
stickywhisky I remember a few years ago that winning MOTM had a negative effect on the following games.

I weep for this country.

Winning MOTM means your team has been on an unusually good run of form.
Unusually good runs of form normally don't last very long (which is why they are "unusual").
Therefore a manager who wins a MOTM award may well see his team's form regress to "baseline" level.
Hopefully McDermott has raised our "baseline", like he did last season, rather than simply starting a good run of form.

Exactly. Massive well done to both, but the law of averages says we'll be unlucky and our results won't be as good this month. This will be seen as the curse striking again.

Especially seeing as we've been higher in the league than them for about 8 years or more prior to this season.

Paul Merson on soccer Saturday has just said that he text McDemott after he received the award and the reply back from McDermott was 'I'm one manager of the month away from staying up'.

What a great response, and how true. Class.
