BenSmith91 Brian thinks it was a stone-wall penalty. Ha.

So do some others who were at the game. Will be interesting to see what MOTD/Goals on Sunday make of it.

It would have been very, very soft.

Well, both teams below us got a -3 goal difference, compared to our -1.

Its not great but of the bottom 3 teams (that played today) we actually got the best result!

Err, please tell me the date that the award was chosen/announced? And when was the Sunderland game played? It's the award that is the curse, not the month it relates to![/quote]

BM was told BEFORE the Sunderland game.

Where do you get that from?

Also depends whether the curse is regarded at the recipient knowing or the public pronouncement!

If McDermott was told when you claim, he should have refused it! That would have killed off the public pronouncement curse.

Mike Hunt
Royals-lad14 stick with 4-5-1 for wigan or go 4-4-2 with alf playing up top with pog?

id preferably go 4-4-2

no thanks. 4-5-1. 4-4-2 near the end against tired legs.

People are forgetting the punishment we received with 4-4-2.

This.

McCleary or HRK for Blackman and Karacan for Legs.

If Villa don't win tomorrow they deserve to go down. Mid table side at home, all teams above them losing (with Soton likely to lose). All teams had tougher fixtures than them this week; they simply have to win tomorrow.

It's the stage of the season where we can start using the term "must win". It is for Villa tomorrow, it is for us against Wigan.

Seriously dude. Give it up with your inane superstitious rubbish.

BM was interviewed on BBCRB & specifically said he was told before the Sunderland game. You are mental.

So what If Brian knew early? It's the announcement and the game that follows it that people talk about.

Yeah, because this is the first time a manager has been told before the announcement.

It's actually the manager of the month blessing as teams always win the game between the award being given and the announcement. Yay!

No way was it a pen near the end. Alf made it look good, but not a chance.

I actually thought that was a pretty decent, resilient team effort. Yeah, the Orcs had a lot of possession and hoofed it all the time as expected, but they had very few clear cut chances.

Huth's header was quality and Cameron's finish even better. Other than that, and a couple of saves for the camera from Feds, they didn't actually create any clear cut chances. OK, there were a couple of last millisecond challenges/deflections from Pearce/Kelly but.....

2-1 about right, though. We could rant and rave about Pog not knowing about the handle ball, and ALF falling over for a pen in the last few seconds but they would have been very harsh.

Just thank god we don't have to play the shite that is Stoke every week. Little wonder they have knuckle dragging supporters if that's what they have to put up with.
