Victor Meldrew Liverpool lost a game where they battered the opposition (first shot in the 80 th minute) but couldn't score-it happens, ask Barcelona when they played Chelsea last year and Celtic this.
BTW Ben Foster looks to be the keeper that he was always expected to be and if he keeps up that form he could challenge Hart for the no.1 jersey ,as long as he agrees to make himself available of course.
In the distant past there were loads of keepers vying for the England pplace but there is currently a real shortage of contenders.

A lot of people declared Liverpool a mid table team ages ago. So why the surprise when they dont do well. Liverpool are just above the middle in the league and are not doing great in Europe. Isnt that what you would expect from a mid table team ?

Managers really do see games different to us.
Brian is just the same with his "we deserved to get something from the game" and his regular "stonewall penalty" claims and the more famous Wenger and Fergie "I didn't see it" when one of their own players has done something that only a blind man would miss.

I think Rodgers is off the mark this time, but how is it different exactly?

cmonurz As I said, I think Rodgers has got this wrong – but are we really picking Rodgers up on his sentence construction?
Up to the goals, whilst not being brilliant, Liverpool had had a few chances and generally held it pretty tight at the back, albeit Hulk had nearly scored in the first half. Liverpool had also enjoyed the best of the second half, before the goals knocked the stuffing out of them.
This Rodgers witchhunt is totally pathetic. In this case Vic is spot on to highlight the fact that this kind of positive comment is exactly what Brian would come out with in a similar situation where we’d played well enough away from home but been suckered with two late goals.
And very good BF. Missing Kes are you?
