Did we really only sign shepherd last year?

Anyway, 6 month injury and a poor loan, plus frustration.

Still he's only 21 he has plenty of time to turn it around.

It was a tough injury but he also arrived at a time before TSI came in and transformed the club (well.. sort of).

His 6 months at Accrington were miserable. He scored 1 goal and only made 10 games in League Two and barel featured after October as they had so many loanees and didn't think he was one of the best five (or is it six? I forget the regulations off the top of my head).

Had really high hopes for him when he signed but going to the League of Ireland almost seems like waving the white flag from McDermott. Would love to be proved wrong though.

Seen him play for Eng U19s a few times. I've always been very impressed. Yet to see him play for us....missed both of his C.Cup apperances.

Looks like he's been bulking up a bit. Still only 19. Big prospect.

From what I've seen his style is like Valencia.

Fast, gets the yard and gets in early crosses.

saw him at Charlton - a bit light-weight, not much impact at all. But the entire team was poor, so hardly a comment on his quality.

Looks like he's got a bit of HRK syndrome at times tonight. Pull out the step overs and tricks waiting for the defender to commit himself, rather than forcing the defender to commit one way and go the other. Decision making will come with time though, and he's already put in a couple of mean crosses and shots.

Far from the finished article but still very much a great prospect. As mentioned before, consistency and decision making will come with time - let's hope he can go one step further than HRK.

EDIT: Decent crosser, came off injured with cramp unfortunately.

Shame Oldham stopped getting the ball to him in favour of the hoof through the middle.

They've played some pretty tidy football in and amongst the hoofs to the big man. Smith's shown some tasty touches as well.

In a round about way, Obita may have done us a huge favour - if the replays set for the Wednesday, and our clash with Everton remains on the Saturday then we could face a tired squad?

Took him a while to realise he was celebrating in front of the wrong fans though...
