No, that would be Paul Scholes but Wilshere fits that mould and is probably a better dribbler than Scholes at his peak. The fact he can beat a man without a thousand stepovers demonstrates his timing and understanding of space. Bossing the Barcelona midfield a couple of years ago at the Emirates is testament to how good he is/will be. Oh and Cleverley is utter dogshit.

Royal Rother Best English player since Paul Gascoigne.

Yes he can run, he puts in a tackle and he shows a lot of enthusiasm but at the end of the day he gets bossed by even Cleverley when they come up against each other.

“The way he [Gascoigne] ran with the ball – probably the closest thing I’ve seen to him is Jack, where he gets the ball and runs at players a lot quicker and a lot stronger than people realise,” Rooney said. “It’s great to see such a young player come in, against a team like Brazil, and put in a performance like that.”

Dear oh dear, he comes on today and they concede immediately.

I guess Arsenal are saving themselves to win the Champions League.

Indeed, and yet he's just a squad player for United.

Tom Cleverley is so good he wasn't trusted to play against Real Madrid.

Had the Wilshere drug rumour confirmed to me on Saturday night by a different source, also reliable.

In May 2012 on a different thread:

cmonurz Personally I blame Wilshere for managing to be out for a whole year with a sprained ankle.

Of course the strong rumour I've heard from a pretty reliable source is that Wilshere has actually been serving a drugs ban and isn't injured at all.

That's on a par with Kes m8 at a lame effort to be clued up. The 'rumour' was all over Twitter long before your post.

Fair enough m8, but I've actually heard that it is true from people that would know, I've not just read about it on Twitter.
