I see this as a flawed argument.

Firstly comparing Ronaldo and Messi to everyone else is a joke. The ability to play every game is one of the many reasons why they are so far ahead of everyone else.
Secondly they are playing in teams that keep the ball more.
Thirdly they don't have to defend or make tackles or do any physical work that increases the chances of getting a knock.
