Can't look at betting sites at work, but I assume it backs up what you've said above. If so, it's ridiculous!

soggy biscuit Di Canio quits

:D

Friggin' Paolo! On the verge of promotion and he quits on principle. Being from the same gene pool all I can, and do have standing to, say is...what a typical hard/hot headed wop, lol! Classic! I don't like his personal politics but you can't say that he doesn't have some sort of strong moral compass driving him...

I am almost certain after what he did at Swindon he won't be out of work for long, hot headed or not!

Not that I will be broken up about Swindon Town not getting promoted tho...

He left because the new owner wouldn't give him the money he wanted for players + his wages.

He also travelled up to Forest for the opening there, but when they saw his wages they backed off.

If he left because of his wages he is even more of a typical hardheaded, think with the little head first, Italian than I thought he was...LOL! He doesn't think that getting the team promoted for the second time in 2 years would vastly increase his wages once he left Swindon in the offseason to get the wages he feels he deserves?

No, no, what he did was something out of spite based on his personal set of principles. I think the thing which really frosted him was when he made the offer about a month and a half ago to put up £60,000 of his own money to make sure players didn't get sold. Not only wasn't he taken up on the offer the player was sold. This wasn't about the money being paid him, this is more about "loyalty" and "honor". For Italians like Paolo those two things trump everything else. Plus I think he feels an actual connection to Swindon, the city and people. It is a place where people with far right politics in the UK have a strong presence...in short Paolo's kind of people. So I am guessing that in his mind he was making a stand for his people...at least in his mind.

Aldershot sack Dean Holdsworth

Another club that thinks by sacking their manager results will improve with no budget and the same set of players.

Relegation looms for the shots.

Should of gone ten games ago. Been truly shocking. Stubborn so and so and if you are not one of his yes men then you are never getting in the team. Aldershot will now be safe and rise the table regardless of who they get in.

Sanchez perhaps?
