Was that in the cup? I remember that game it was blowing gale force wind from the Tilehurst end towards the town end. It went to extra time. Huddersfield had the wind in there favour and were all over us. With our one attack Trevor scored the winner with a bullett header from a corner.

I played in that one too. On Hackney Marshes...think it was something like a 4-4 thriller but my memory might be playing up! Think it was the 92-93 season and the game against the "O"s was 1-1?

Remember it well. I think he jacked football in to become a policeman! Quite a limited player but a real trier as I recall.

He went to Cambridge Utd and played under John Beck's reign of hoofball, and got pissed off with it and joined Cumbria Police, there was an article in WSC a loooooooooooooong time ago about him.

Gary Peters had a very short spell as an emergency striker that season. Remember him scoring an absolute beauty where he kind of lunged at the ball from the edge of the area and lobbed the keeper. Peterborough rings a bell so must have been a cup game.

I was thinking of the home game - in which I also managed to rip my left big toenail off. I didn't play in the away one. I think it was the 1-1 draw though.

That line-up is in shirt number order. Old-fashioned I know, but Peters wore the 11 shirt in that game.

Indeed. I was looking at League records only. He scored the first, Dean Horrix got the winner.
