Royal Prince Genuine question; does leaving early make it feel any better?
Seems like a lot of people left early as the performance (and weather) didn't warrant any more of their time and effort. This being the case did leaving early make your afternoon any better? Did you just forget about the football and switch off? Does not hearing the final whistle mean in your head you don't have to come to terms with the result? Does the positive of catching an early train brighten up your day?
The gent that made it back in time for rugby/pizza obviously had a better afternoon than I did staying til the final whistle, but I'm just interested to find out if you really achieve any uptick in satisfaction leaving early or if it's a 'cutting off your nose to spite your face' type of thing.
Leaving a couple of minutes before the end definitely stopped me sinking any deeper into depression and gave us all a chance to get warm earlier than we otherwise would have been. What's more, nothing worse than being stuck in traffic and taking ages to get home after an awful display like that.

Reply : Better supporter? Bollocks.
I clearly have a different understanding of what supporting your team means.
As you are so good on understanding, perhaps you could visit the dressing room and explain to our players what playing your hearts out for the supporters means!
TBF, there were some supporters who, regardless of whether they ultimately left early or not, continued to back the team and chant/shout encouragement - seemed to make f*ck all difference to what the players did though! Mad and expensive thing to do but at least Pog demonstrated that he had become incredibly frustrated by the dire performance!
