floyd__streete I'm not going to indulge you by traipsing through this thread but you enjoyed a (short-lived) laugh at Maidenhead's expense, mainly due to the fact that I follow them I strongly suspect. Your obsession with me must be into about its seventh year now m8!

It all seems t'other way around to me. What makes you pop at Windsor so often? M8.

Didnt get to York Rd today and not read any reports but tweets suggest Maidenhead should be happy with the draw. Won't make it Tuesday either which we will lose. IN for Welling Utd away next week though.

:( @ Rothers ignoring me btw, this is how kids used to feel when Jimmy Saville ignored their letters

DORKING Football Club's Combined Counties League Premier Division fixture away to Farnham Town was abandoned at half time today (Saturday) amid ugly scenes.
The Chicks were 2-0 up at the time through goals from Tommy Harper and Reece Jackson, when it is alleged that a member of the crowd attacked one of Dorking's players as they were walking towards the changing rooms at Mead Lane.
The incident resulted in a melee as players and staff from both sides tried to separate individuals, prompting the referee to take the decision to abandon the game.
And Dorking boss Glynn Stephens said he was very disappointed about the whole incident and the fact that the Chicks were denied the chance of recording back-to-back wins, following their 3-2 victory against Molesey at Meadowbank on Thursday.

He said: "He [the spectator] should have been kept away.
"My players did nothing other than defend themselves and it is simply not good enough [that this should happen].
"What has happened is unacceptable."
Stephens added that the incident was being reported, while he said it would also be detailed in the referee's report of the match.
As for Farnham's stance on the incident, Stephens said the Chicks' opponents were very apologetic, however he said he would have preferred the three points.
He said: "Having won on Thursday, I am confident we would have gone on to get another three points here and we are very disappointed.
"We were playing well. Tommy Harper and Reece Jackson had both scored again after their goals on Thursday and we were looking good at 2-0.
"Who knows what will happen if the game is replayed."

Windsor 0-1 Molesey

5 injuries and a suspension meant a somewhat weakened team for Windsor unfortunately which just took the experience and muscle out of the side. Played well and created more chances but with 4 or 5 17/18 year olds on the pitch at the end (I think) we just didn't have the nouse to beat a much bigger Molesey team.

Enjoyable game though and a decent enough crowd of 177. We're not going up and we're not going down so no harm getting to see how more of the young / fringe / youth players cope in the man's game.

the commonsensical thing to do would be to award Dorking the 2-0 as a result. Not only would that be partial punishment for Farnham, but it would send out messages to any other pillocks that may see this as a way of routinely stopping a game that isn't going their way.

Royal Rother What makes you pop at Windsor so often? M8.

I don't have a problem with Windsor at all :) . If I have a 'pop' it is some excrutiating attempt at Royal Borough banter 8) . Non-league football really isn't the place for h8, and I think we both like it for similar reasons. M8.

Doesn't say it was a Farnham supporter. You can't punish them if it turns out that this was personal and non football related.

WITNEY TOWN: THEY THINK IT'S ALL OVER - IT IS NOW
By Nick Farrant, from www.witneygazette.co.uk

Last Wednesday, the Premier Division outfit, one of Oxfordshire's oldest football clubs, resigned from the Hellenic League and folded due to lack of funds. Earlier this month, the cash-strapped club were evicted from the Witney Community Stadium because they were unable to pay the rent. They had hoped to ground-share with Carterton, but lack of funds meant they were unable to sign a rental agreement. "I knew it was coming, so it wasn't exactly a shock," said Donovan, who has been a supporter for about 20 years. But it's still disappointing to see it happening."

But Donovan is optimistic the Oxfordshire outfit will one day re-emerge from the ashes. "It's a massive shame and hopefully someone can resurrect it at some stage in the future, but there seems to be a lack of interest from people in the town to run it. Unfortunately, the stadium was not something you could run with a small group of people, so it became an albatross around our necks."

Former striker Sean McKeon added: "I'm devastated the club is no longer. It is upsetting knowing the hard work people like Andy Lyne (former manager) and Ady Bircher (ex-secretary) and the committee put in.

The loss of Witney Town was in huge contrast to the summer, when Justin Merritt was made boss with a plan to get the club back in the Southern League. However, in September last year Merritt resigned, followed by one of his assistants, Eddie Denton. The following month, Stuart Pike replaced Tom Amer as chairman to take over the helm at Carterton. In December, boss Justin Lee, Pike and director of football Andy Lyne all resigned, with Chris Hurley made boss. Donovan took over as chairman in January, but resigned after a ground-share at Carterton was abandoned.

Founded in 1885, Witney Town folded in 2001, only to re-emerge the following year when a group of fans formed Witney United. In 2011 the club reverted to their original name, Witney Town, after it was re-formed as a registered charity.

... some pretty big results from CCLP tonight; as well as the win for Cove (saw them lose this fixture 3-6 last season  ) :

..didn't get the final score but at 0-0 'Cambo' had 2 players sent off H vs Ash Utd yet were somehow leading 2-0 late on ? :?

...similarly unconfirmed ** but Hartley Wintney fought back to to level @ 2-2 away at Wembley - and fellow strugglers Chessington & Hook W 2-0 vs Horley.
EDIT ** now a result on the HW site FT D2-2

Egham 3-1 Guernsey
Epsom & Ewell 1-3 Windsor
Farnham 0-1 Baddy Lea
Molesey 3-0 Sandhurst

elsewhere :

CONFS Maidehead 2-1 Boreham Wd

HELLP Holyport 1-5 Ascot
HELLP Wantage 1-0 Slimbridge

Reading Sen Cup Wokkers 4-0 Woodley Town

..waiting in the Semis (with a final in May at the MadStad) are Highmoor/IBIS.

Two other Q-F's are:

Sat 2/3 Finch v South Reading
Sat 16/3 Penn & Tylers Gn v Marlow Utd

I watched a distinctly below par 'Moles' (Binfield) lose 1-2 H v Kidlington on a very cold Monday night - tonight I took in the Hellenic One East thrills of
Henley Town 3-4 Headington Amateurs

Last night: AFC Hayes 0 - 3 Slough Town

5th game in 11 days, won 4, lost 1, upto heady heights of 8th with 5 games in hand over leaders Burnham (and 14 points behind).

March brings 9 games, including most of the teams above, crucial!

Good performance and nice win for the Mags. Alex Wall looking the part and will be playing at a higher level soon enough. Could get a game in League 2 at least if he wasn't such a hotheaded chav.

QUERY - anyone from Windsor confirm the venue for next Wednesday's B&B Trophy S-F v Flackwell.

... I'm getting potentially conflicting information from the respective league's (Mitoo) websites as well as the Club itself.

... the current issue of the official CCL Bulletin is showing 'Flackwell Heath v Windsor' :?:

Wondered if it had been decided yet?
