If we start serving kebabs in the concourse as a result of this partnership then it will be a major win.

Hi sneijder14

You must come over for a game some time, and then we'll take you for a kebab. They guarantee to stirrup thoughts of home, and we wont saddle you with the bill.

Sneijder14 Hi all from Turkey :)

I just wonder what you think about this partnership and while reading your comments i realized that you'r curios like me too ( about what we think ) ...

We don't know this partnership is really for what but we'r optimistic about it... We think that this deal will be benefical especially about scouting and doing pre season matches. Also we have really good young talents but cant reach their fully potential because of Turkey's poor managments/facilities, so some loan agreemants may be done too ... About Jem Karacan yes he may be good for our bench and be good for squad's deepnes but i dont think he's good enough for our first 11 ...

I'm really sad about that "knive" comments because that Leeds incidents have been upsetting for us too ... Every team and every country have those kind of "idiots" and you cant blame all country for those man ... ManU fans came to Turkey just months ago and nothing happened ... 1 week ago we were all alongside with Schalke fans :)

One more thing please change "Confirmation of registration" question ===> What was the name of Reading's ground prior to the Madejski Stadium?

I tried to find that in Wiki not everyone have to know that I think :p

Nice to hear someone else's thoughts who aren't reading fc supporters. Personally I am excited by this link - it's nice to be linked with such a big club.
Ignore the whole knife and leeds bitterness. Leeds supporters are oxf*rd idiots.

Thanks for the post, and good luck against Schalke! Will be supporting you.

Hi Sneijder14,
Galatasaray are spending a lot of money at the moment. Have they recently been bought?

If so then one of the reasons for the link could be the two new owners trying to increase revenue and income by increasing the fan bases from other countries. Is English football followed closely in Turkey?

I can't answer with as much knowledge as Sneijder14, but having been to Turkey five or six times for holidays, I can confirm that they love their football. And the PL is a big thing out there, most of the Turks I've ever met tend to talk about football constantly (admittedly its generally all about United etc but that's to be expected).

Heh no i dont have any English takeaway in Turkey sorry for you but i dont think you have a good food tradition :)

No we'r not bought by anyone ... In fact Galatasaray has too many supporters in all over the world and we have really very good income atm.We just have a new president who really know how to manage big companies... Our new stadium & CL incomes are really perfect for economy also fans are really very generous we'r spending so much money for goods ... All those let us spend money on better players ...

English football ofc followed in Turkey i think its the best league in all over the world , most enyojable one :)

Royal Dee
jonboy29red lots of hate for this from leeds fans on twitter calling us scum ect ect

Since when did Leeds become the moral compass of football?
the same leeds that attacked a footballer last year, cause loads of trouble where ever they go and think breaking Karacans leg was good since he was associated with Galatasary?

Exactly this. Leeds long ago forfeited any right whatsoever to adopt the moral high ground. They couldn't even adopt the moral high ground over someone like Harold Shipman!

Hi Sneijder14

I spent a lot of time whilst growing up watching AEKEPA when I lived with family in Athenai (but my nan was born in Istanbul)Whilst there I had the chance to attend some epic derby games vs PAO and OP. I have had a season ticket at the Madejski Stadium since we opened the ground in 98 and as yet the only top club from the continent who has visited was Feyenoord in 06?

If you managed to bring a large contingent and most of the turks in London stay away, it would be a joy to welcome the world renowned atmosphere you create to the Mad Stad! It really would be a joy to see

Ignore the Leeds comments, we have had games in recent seasons where the Leeds players would deliberately injure the Reading players for no reason. We play a clean game but are sometime too nice to our opposition!

Oh and whilst I think of it.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDz9vfI0 ... ata_player what did you think of the Emre incident? Do the Cimbom still have any respect for this guy, or was that lost when he joined Fenerbache?

I thought the only nation that seriously believed that rubbish were the conceited French!

I like Turkish food but would back traditional English/British food over Turkish.

That having been said, if you do get to the Mad Stad, please do not judge our food and drink on the basis of the crap served up there!

They know their football in Turkey. Was chatting to some old local Turkish man about Reading FC on a taxi boat in Kas once.

Hi sneijder14 - I really enjoyed Istanbul when I visited and would like to go back. I am not huge on turkish delight, although had the best stuff in Istanbul, but I do like Baclava and loved that rice pudding type dessert you have - what is that called?

The rice pudding is called "sutlac".as i'm half turkish and half Reading and been a season ticket holder for 15 years and watched Galatasary in turkey while i lived out there, i thought that I could be an ambassador and could contribute to this topic... :D

This will be good for us if we're relegated. Some of their fringe players on loan, it could work for us like it has at Watford.
