Time for a demo

by Mid Sussex Royal » 09 Mar 2013 23:08

15 years ago this weekend was the last serious demo I can remember when we lost to bottom placed Port Vale in a crucial tier 2 relagation game - Terry the taxi was gone in 10 days.

That day we were outplayed by a footballing side - along similar lines to Wigan and although today was not as bad, Villa were by far the better side.

I will be demonstrating after the next home game which is in front of the Sky cameras after we have lost our next three games.

The fans need to now stand up - the local press are puppets of the club from what I can make out and can't or won't ask any serious questions so its up to us to take the bull by the horns.

Or perhaps you should do everyone a favour and stay, as your username suggests, in Mid Sussex.

Time for a "demonstration" of genuine support from the fans - there will be plenty of time for recriminations in the summer.

Make our feelings known

by Scarface » 10 Mar 2013 00:52

We're down, ok we could of accepted that in August. But there have been so many oxf*rd ups from McDermott the fans need to express how unhappy we are about team selections, substitutions, formations, player loyalty, playing down huge games, results against bottom 5 teams, general PR, Guthrie, Shorey, Carrico etc etc.

I'm not calling for him to be sacked or booing in games, so my proposal is we vote tot Jay Tabb as player of the season.

Who's game?

My player of the season is joint between McAnuff and L,wood. Too bloody close though.

No player has played multiple games over the season apart from ^^^^.

I would say Le Fondre because without him we would still be on single figures.

1) Le Fondre
2) Mariappa
3) Jimmy
4) HRK

You're missing my point, but I would probably vote for McAnuff. Yes he has lacked PL quality but so have all the players, but he has still created the majority of our goals/chances.

Voting for Guthrie would send the same message, but after his antics I can't do this

Actually the responses to this thread sum up what is wrong with his club! While I am not sure what kind of demo was in mind, to respond with "idiot" and so on smacks of complacency. So are you lot really satisfied with the way that this club is being mis managed at the moment. And the facts are that it is. Or are you all so apathetic that you don't care if we are becoming a laughing stock. Most other clubs would have replaced a management team that does not know what it is doing. Most given the TV money on offer would have made a serious attempt to strengthen the squad in the transfer window. Most boards would have replaced the manager after the first dreadful run of defeats that took us knto the bottom three. We are now in the second run which will most probably amount to 7 defeats at least.
And don't give us that stale cr@p that McD will be best placed to lead us back from the Championship. Most of this squad will disappear and it will be very difficult to rebuild when most in the game have now seen how bad we are.
So carry on and wait until the summer to have your say if you wish but don't insult the fans who are passionate about the club enough to want to act now.

Passionate about the club? Every single post you've ever posted has been negative. Last season your last contribution was in Septmeber 2011 in a thread speculating about relegation to League 1, until April 28 when you chimed in very positively on a thread offering congratulations on the promotion of... Southampton. Not a friggin' word about our season or promotion in the meantime. You're one of those people on here who loves the sound of your own droning negativity then disappears during the good times because you have nothing to offer. So don't come lecturing us about passion for the club. People like you are a massive drain on it.
