handbags_harris The deliberate stamp on the Zenit player towards the end of the second leg of their Europa League tie goes uncommented on then...?
No doubting the ability of the guy, he's really turned it on since about September and seems to have started hitting the net more regularly rather than spaffing guilt-edged opportunities. At one stage he was primed to turn into Liverpool's Andy Cole who could never shake the criticism of missing as many glaring opportunities as he scored. BUT, and it's a big but, the guy is a nasty, nasty piece of work and one day someone's going to really hurt him. He's asking for it. The consistent amount of deliberately aimed challenges designed to potentially injure really undoes the ability aspect for me.
And he used to play for Ajax.

UEFA reviewed it and determined it was an accident, in the replays it's clear it was an accident.

Sanguine You're seeing the incident for what you want it to be. Pretty clear Suarez tries to 'skip' off the back of him when he can't avoid contact. Hence UEFA taking no action.
