If it is him, then AZ had already decided regardless of the result against Villa.

Nice.

@indykaila (reliable account) has hinted to the fact it's Di Canio by tweeting the picture of him at the Madejski last Saturday. This is after the last tweet saying we were in advanced talks with someone

I can't say I'd be impressed with Di Canio. He got Swindon playing very well but he's far to volatile to build a long team/squad/club term and I think that would be a bad move.

Di Matteo would be interesting, although I don't think he's a very good manager, he does attempt to get teams playing good football. Adkins would make some sense and could probably do a decent job.

One that would be a really interesting appointment for me though would be Ole Gunna Solskjaer.

Some might say the same about Mourinho...

Mega 'greed on Solksjaer though

First off Di Canio is not racist. He is a fascist. I am not a big fan of fascists...even if they get the trains to run on time and the most out of their football players.

I can see being opposed to bringing Di Canio in, which I am in agreement with (more being down to how he up and quit Swindon Town the way he did...I don't like quitters), but don't slander him by calling him a racist.

At least with Di Canio you know he won't be loyal or feel the need to be loyal to any players. After getting Swindon promoted he admitted he would probably buy a whole new team

That is very often the way in football. It happens. If we had done well this season and a big club came in for BM in the summer, he may well have taken it, and who would have blamed him. Swings and roundabouts.

I can see a Russian oligarch getting on famously with an Italian fascist...lots of things in common. So I wouldn't be surprised if... :? :(

Adkins is the only realistic rumour that I'd be happy with. Don't want Di Canio and his circus.

No, I think the racist/fascist bits are more important than a club he once played for that have nothing to do with us.
