Bit unsure why people are saying he was deliberately photographed at the stadium for effect. What do you expect him to do, turn invisible at football games?

I am not a facsist, and I do not want anyone associated with them to be Reading manager - in the same way as I wouldn't want a BNP or EDL supporter as manager.

But, and a lot has been written about how the facsists got the 'trains running on time', the only positive about the facsists that I can think of is that they got rid of the Mafia in Southern Italy. When the Americans came into Italy, they needed local support and recruited a number of ex-Mafia gangsters to help them (aided, of course, by their own bunch of gangsters of Italian descent). The Mafia was reborn by the Americans and very soon took the same hold on Southern Italy that they had before.

Still don't want him, though (unless Reading has a bigger Mafia problem than I thought).

I don't want him as he cares more for himself than any club he has been at. It would be the Di Canio show every week and would be quite tiresome by week 2

Yay, a temperamental facist nutcase will bring the passion we need! He'll drop those pricks Leigertwood and McAnuff, pick Guthrie the messiah and everything will be great.

To those of you who repeatedly slate 'the Reading way', McDermott being too nice, passive fans backing McDermott (and Madejski and Hammond) and our lack of reckless transfer spending I have a horrible feeling this could be the start of what you've laways wanted.

A foreign owner, a new manager or two each season (of varying quality) and if we're really lucky dire financial trouble by spending loads of money we don't have. It's just a shame we couldn't give a little bit of money to McDermott who worked a miracle on a lower level Championship budget.

He is a bit of a character but I think Di Canio's passion is the sort of thing we need for a relegation battle.

He certainly wouldn't take any mediocre performances from anyone and as you saw he clearly knows how to get the best out of his players look at Swindon he took them to the top of league 1 after promotion last season. That is not a fluke by any stretch of the imagination. Not saying for one second he will take us to the top of the Prem.

I would have him any day over Dick Advocaat if you give him money he is guaranteed to bring this club down with stupid megabucks deals as his tenure at Rangers showed.

On Sky Sports.

John Salako promoting the appointment of Di Canio for the passion he can bring to the last 9 games.

Ady Williams saying it would be in poor taste from the club.

Royalee Because most of our fans are stupid and wanted the current Liverpool manager out for being a bit of a dick and trying his best to relegate us. I however loved him and spent many a happy evening behind the bushes outside his house with my binoculars and a bottle of baby oil vvanking myself silly over his big book of tactics

not only was brendan rodgers a massive spanner, who talked utter nonsense in interviews, not only was he taking us down, he also got us playing absolutely THE dullest brand of football ive ever seen at reading.

At least in Di Canio his passion for his team is that much that he will not take a shoddy performance from Legs nor will he take a shoddy captains performance that lacks inspiration from Jobi.

I wonder if Jobi will still be captain come the first game under the new manager.

Salako wants Jon Mackie as Di Canio's assistant. He just loves the daft racists/fascists.

From Despair To Where? Bloody hell, it's Rip Van Royalee. Where you been for the last 18 months?

Waiting for another chance to segue to BR and how great he would have been if only we'd given him a chance...
