Adkins would be perfect for it! That would be my choice anyway.

What about Chris Cummins? Isn't he the Development Squad manager, why isn't he the caretaker?

This from the official site is like a pre announcement that the pope is neither a nazi nor a paedo apologist.

Norfolk Royal Tiger tanks were German weren't they? I think the Italians used a smaller tank in North Africa. The one with the reverse gear.

the P40, yep.

I believe it was quite sturdy when fielded against kiwi fruit and guava halves.

This is what it sounded like when McDermott took over...

I still remember him guest commentating on the Royal Box with that dude that said "here" all the time, sometime in 09 I think. He was the most one sided person ever, so excited as well. The guy loves RFC.

Right, I have had a tickle on:

Poyet
Advocaat
Dolan
Solskjaer

Basing the first three punts on the possibility we will keep Dolan until the end of the season and get someone at the start. Solskjaer is a bit leftfield but if he is highly thought of you never know.

I would actually like to see Poyet I think. He may be able to attract the odd classy Spanish player, seems a likeable guy, passionate, tactically astute and deserves a chance -should get us there or thereabouts for promotion. Whilst this would mean a change in style, which I see as quite dangerous, I get the feeling he is a bit more flexible than RDM in that.
P DiC is just not an option at all for me and Hammond/Madejski would really vote against that you would think if their votes count for nothing.
Advocaat, you have to question what the appeal would be as he is at PSV. Maybe a stepping stone to a Prem role, but cant see him managing in the Championship. Obviously a relationship already there with RFC though.

Definitely don't want Adkins. He'd get us playing nicer football but after spending £20m in the summer and end up no better than we are is a joke. We might be shit but at least it didn't cost us £20m.

Would like anybody that will get us playing nice football (apart from Adkins, did I mention that?). It didn't work under Rogers because he wasn't given the budget to bring in decent players. With Zingarevich's money we could be the next Swansea :!:

Yes because all you have to do secure money from an owner who can only spend money when his Daddy lets him is to simply 'demand' it.

I can see this going really very well.

TheSiege For us fans, RFC may have just turned a corner and may just start punching our weight - not before time!

what is "our weight"?

given the sort of income we'll generate next season, about mid-table in the championship looks to be about "our weight", as we certainly wouldn't be one of the bigger clubs in that division.

TheSiege Something that no-one seems to have caught up with yet! With the possible exception of Adkins, everyone mentioned are both high-profile AND have definate ideas on how to do things and what they cost. BMcD (and it's not his fault), was brought through the ranks imbued with the JM 'Reading Way' i.e improve the squad but only if we can get a 5m player for £800,000. Whoever gets the job, assuming it will be someone in the frame, will be saying to Anton, it will cost x million for promotion next season and y million to give us a chance in the Prem. If you won't provide that I cannot do the job!
