He's hardly going to listen to someone with a pitiful 2-figure post count

I want us to win every game.

I imagine many prospective managers will be watching and they will be interested in how well we perform & whether the players are up for it.

I'm afraid your assumption is incorrect.

This is Reading people, you know what will happen:
1. Lose to Man Utd
2. Lose to Arsenal
3. Lose to Southampton
4. Lose to Liverpool
5. Appoint Dolan stating 'we always had faith in Eamonn and he's done well during a difficult time and was the outstanding candidate for the job' (that is, 'out standing' in the corridor and nobody else had applied)
6. Fans finally acknowledge Anton is sticking with 'the Reading way'

( to be fair, it's worked twice! )

LoyalRoyalFan No, we want to lose 9-0

That's really stupid why do you want to lose 9-0??

Are you really a Reading fan?

I don't believe it

I understand the question, and yeah - slight conundrum in reality. To be honest, a few cheeky wins in january probably kept McD in his job when, if we were to change manager, half way through the season would have been a better option than now.

Makes you wonder if a good result against ManU, however welcome, might persuade the board to stick rather than twist - hey, Dolan could be the next great thing, who knows - but I'd rather the board focused on getting the right man and not br be sidetracked by freak results?

Urgh. Sounds stupid really. I just think if there is one good thing to come from Brian going, is that we take the opportunity to step up a gear in manager and get someone in who can take us to the next level, rather than someone who keeps his head just above the water line.

If that makes any sense at all.

What is more important? Seeing a team play boring, dull hoofball nicking a draw here and a win there or a team playing flowing, exciting football similar to what we had under Jack Mansell, Mark McGhee or Steve Coppell circa 2005/06?

Adkins built a really good squad we were lucky to beat to the title with the squad we had! Also keep in mind he had to drag them from a League One that Sheffield United, MK Dons and Bournemouth have been trying to escape for years and I think you get your answer.

Also players such as Lallana who are reported as not happy at Southampton since he left may follow and we have the basis of an exceptional Championship team, and confident next time in the Prem we will be hanging round with Stoke and Swansea... Not Wigan and pissing Aston Villa

What if the deal was Reading to lose or a million Africans would die. You'd honestly not want Reading to lose? I'm stunned at how uncaring and racist some people are

Of course we want to beat United, but there's about as much chance of it happening as Sandman posting something intelligent.
