AthleticoSpizz Fantastic! Thanx Timmy
Spookily enough, your "bonus feature" features a few of my old schoolmates.

Blue Blood I am hoping a subscriber to this thread will be able to help me. In either the 74-75 or 75-76 (or even possibly 76-77) season we played Crystal Palace at home and the score was 0-0
I am after the starting line-up and subs for that game. Failing that the squad would help.
Many thanks!

The match you're thinking of was played on New Year's Day 1977. The Reading team was: Death, Peters, Henderson, Bowman, Bennett, Moreline, Murray, Carnaby, Hollis, Hiron, Stuckey. The crowd was 12,088.

royalroo Great Football memories but more than anything they give a history of Reading in non football sense. 6d for a Fish Supper sounds good value!!

Biscuit_Boy Great stuff Timmy! As you say, the adverts are the best thing about them. I'd love to be able to go to the 'Cheddar Cheese' after the game! And I think I'd rather listen to 'The Reading Temperance Prize Band' than 'The Big Bad Wolf'...

Agreed BB. I can almost see myself buying you a beer in there
Bump for an massively overlooked post from Mr Greenaway.

Yes, some nice stuff there. I'm particulary jealous of the London War Cup Final programme which is sadly missing from my collection along with, probably the only other programme I'd like, the first home game after the War and the record win against Crystal Palace.

Ark Royal Thanks for the mention. I have a lot of other stuff, but it is such a job scanning. Will get round to doing some more one day.

Agreed Ark. It's a pain scanning stuff. Like you I've got a few other things I'd like to share but I'm not sure that the interest is there enough for me to bother. Nice stuff you posted though.
