There's a high probability of a no.

There's a remote possibility of a yes.

Until it's mathematically impossible for us to reach 17th spot I will not give up hope. I'm expecting nothing less from the players.

Great way of putting it!

I think Fulham have a pretty tough run in (apart from us!) but would be surprised now if anyone caught them.

The key is to try and get it down to a suitable number with a few matches remaining. Even if you're going into the last 4 matches 5 points off, or the last 2 matches 4 points off, then at least you've got some kind of a chance if things go your way.

It's unlikely to happen but we've got to give it a go.

nailseabiscuitman Just had a go on the BBC predictor and whilst I admit being slightly optimistic on my RFC predictions I still have us being relegated BUT by only one point behind Sunderland.

Southampton 37
Sunderland 36
Royals 35
Wigan 32
QPR 28

It comes to something when even being optimistic we get relegated

Simple answer to the OP is 'Yes'. Of course we could as there are sufficient points available and we are not mathematically down yet.

The real question is 'Are we likely to?' Then the answer becomes 'probably not'.

Had us going down on 28 points on the predictor. Our only win coming against West Ham away.

To be honest I think our fate was sealed when we did'nt bring in any quality players in Jan.

To escape relegation now would indeed be a miracle, but miracles do happen

As someone else said, no to us but Wigan could do it again.

Having said that, our real hope now is Sunderland. They have some really difficult fixtures, but that's all well and good but we need to win ours.

Did the BBC predictor with an incredibly optimistic hat on and we still got relegated on the final day after failing to win at upton park.

No chance! We have little quality. Even if we bought in an outstanding new manager i cannot see us winning 5. If we did what would that say about BM? We have already lost 2 must win home games.. We have saints and qpr at home. Must win those then possibly
Liverpool. Saints have been much better than us all seasin and have got away wins!
We got a jammy win at Newcastle and a lucky draw at swansea! We struggled to get a point at QPR too when they were at their weakest! The west ham game might be way too late! We would need to win both away games at fulham and norwich.

Actually it is not impossible (but realistically come on) but the new manager would have to be a magician. We hardly create any chances in games, conceed possesion and give it away cheaply wheb we do get the ball. Plus we traditionally give away a shit goal a game!

Our players (except for 3 or 4) have not stepped up in level because they cannot. Other
Team's players have or they bought in pl quality
Can you see a transformation? We played well against Man U (who took it easy)
But still never looked like scoring. Our final ball is woeful.

You need to go easy on the exclamation marks.
