Very true mate, spoke to a Leeds fan last night who seems to think that this is well on the way.

You mean a bit like how Reading fans aplenty seem to think Di Canio is 'well on his way' here? This type of speculation is just that - speculation.

My current manager preference schedule:

Poyet>Adkins>Advocaat>Dolan>Di Canio>>>>>The other names being touted

Either way, feeling far more positive about the club's future in comparison to this time last week

Would love Poyet here. I'm surprised about his comments re: his budget at Brighton. They've spent more than Reading have done in any one season at that level, so Anton will have to match his ambition with money if we do bring Poyet in.

This being Reading, I'm still expecting us to miss the big names and appoint a very uninspiring name. Not that that hasn't worked out for us before mind..

Poyet saying the things Brighton fans want to hear.

"It's a key moment of the season after a few bad results away from home.

"But the best thing of today was seeing this fantastic stadium full with 28,500 people.

"If you told me that would happen a couple of years ago, I wouldn't believe you and, beating Crystal Palace, it's a fantastic day for the Brighton fans."

Depends what the wage budget is. That's the key one.

Indeed, and from memory we were in the top four for wages when we were promoted, and that will be higher next season with a higher wage bill, even after some take their cuts with relegation.

Doesn't sound too much like there's anything in it regarding wanting to leave Brighton.

Gus Poyet has admitted he will savour Albion's 3-0 derby day success to the full.

The Seagulls beat Crystal Palace for the first time since 2005 before a record crowd at The Amex today.

It was their fourth derby under Poyet's management.

The Albion manager admitted: "This is a day to stop time and stay here forever. I'd like to finish a season like this."

He added: "If you need to leave, your last game at the football club, this is the perfect way to leave and to finish a career.

"After the day we went up, because that was unique, this is the best day (as Albion manager) no doubt by far."

"As soon as you get in this football club you know one thing, you need to beat Palace. And it's my first victory so I'm going to enjoy it, that's for sure."

Brighton are a bigger club than RFC. I can't recall Reading having 28500 fans at the Madhouse plus they could be playing Premier Leafue football something that RTGs will have to dream about when away to Brentford. Real Possibility.

I disagree, although you seem very interesting, you will die horribly, alone, probably mutilated. Wouldn't be surprised if it was some sort of terminal illness.

Discuss.

Reading are looking to interview the candidates on their short-list next week, with the intention to secure a replacement ahead of Reading’s next match against on March 30.

Di Canio remains joint favourite but has drifted out to 11/4 and is now joined by Adkins at the top of the list following reports that Reading are looking to interview the candidates on their shortlist next week, with the intention to secure a replacement ahead of Reading’s next match against on March 30.

Caretaker boss Eamonn Dolan took charge during the 1-0 loss at Old Trafford on Saturday that sees Reading now seven points from safety following Aston Villa’s win over QPR. But Director of football Nick Hammond and owner Anton Zingarevich will be confident that an international break will give them enough time to recruit ahead of their trip to the Emirates.

Brighton manager Gus Poyet (9/1) and former Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo (6/1) are believed to be under consideration but with Adkins also strongly linked to Leeds – a post that Neil Warnock has recently revealed that he may soon be vacating – Reading may well move quickly to ensure they don’t miss out on their man.

I would imagine that we have a short list ready to go and that interviews will be concluded this week. Would be better if he was in place by the weekend so he has the week to prepare for the Arsenal.

Really hope it is a named manager who tough on shirkers and like to play a passing game. Please bin the hoofers in the summer and build a good passing team. The football we have played has been shameful.

oxf*rd off! Reading have the potential to be a good sized club. If we get the team right, improve the youth set up then extend the stadium we would easily get 30,000 in the pl with maybe 35 to 40k if we really get a good team together. Personally i think we are comparable in size. Time will tell! Hope AZ's 5 year plan pans out.

How can Brighton be bigger club??

What is the rationale behind that decision? They've not won anything!

How legit this website is I don't know.

Brighton 56th biggest club
Reading 55th biggest club
