Englands future manager.

Bemused by the whole affair, but clouds and silver linings and all that I suppose.

I'm still indifferent about him, and not just because of his perma-tan.

He spent a shitload of cash and only marginally found himself doing better than us. You could argue he had more flair in his team too, so putting aside the novelty of getting a new boss...... is he really an improvement on BM? Not sure.

His squad was made up mostly of League 1 players. We won the Championship and spent around £10m and are all but rock bottom of the league...

I've come around to the idea of Adkins, despite me perceiving him as a smug twat he has all the assets to be a top manager for us. He did well at blooding in younger players and playing decent football alongside the impressive two successive promotions. IN.

Gunny Fishcake I'm reliably informed , and believe Nigel Adkins will be appointed the new Reading manager in the coming days . My source is close to to rfc directors and has been told it'll happen before the Arsenal game . This is passed on with the full knowledge that it could all be bollox but I do think it will happen .If not I'll eat the humble pie in isolation during my three month self inposed exile from HNA .

For what it's worth I think it's a good appointment ........if it happens .

Unlike you to play the WUM, so I'm hoping you're on the money with this. Good news if true.

Leeds will love us next season. Galatasaray and Adkins, ouchie. :D

Saints fans will be pissed off as well, they idolise him still and have a dislike for us, I know because I live in here. A fan even commented on the local newspaper website that they wouldn't allow Adkins to join Reading... ALLOW??? Ha ha.

I do think he's a bit of a dick, but we could and I assumed we'd do a lot worse.

As Saints fans have been saying for years... 'In NA we trust'.

SJM said yesterday that no interviews had been held yet, so why was Adkins hanging around the M4 services early last week? Has he been camped outside Madejski Towers in the hope of being the first interviewed? If you'd heard something concrete, then fair play, but your post really didn't have much behind it other than hopeful speculation.

Good news. Good football. Pisses of Southampton and Leeds' muppet fanbase too. Lovely stuff!
