Agreed. I stupidly was against this, but he really is a good manager. Not afraid of spending money (decent signings to be fair), fantastic record and a nice guy.

Southampton fans were unhappy that he was sacked the way he was, but the majority do not seem to rate the guy as a manager.

I think my main dislike for him comes from the fact he is related to that club.

So the third choice has had a change of heart and accepted the job despite misgivings over the management structure of the club. This process has been an absolute mess from start to finish and we've ended up with a man who is no better or worse than what we already had.
