paultheroyal How the club dress this up will be interesting i.e. was he the only choice / first choice etc etc.

But hey.....Nigel Adkins.....welcome!!

He was first choice, turned us down, but we convinced him after talking to other options and they did not meet expectations.

That's how i'd spin it.

Can't wait for us to start dropping it onto Ricky Lambert's head on the back stick.

Oh hang on, we don't have Ricky Lambert.

Hope he's got a plan B :!:

Caskeys Lovechild What an utterly BS appointment.

Inferior to McDermott in every way. It's like taking two flat batteries out of the remote, and replacing it with two flatter batteries, and expecting it to work ......

oxf*rd off Adkins. oxf*rd off TSI. oxf*rd off Zingarevich.

Lol you what mate? It's an immense appointment for you, Adkins is a class act.

Not mentioned on SSN for a good 20 plus minutes now.........Maybe their relationship with Sky Bet (one of the few still offering the market) might be quite profitable if it ends up not being true

Corrected.

It's alright, wouldn't say immense though and no better than the manager we got rid off tbh. It's even in the names, we've replaced a Brian with a Nigel.

Will be the best manager in the Championship tbh.

"small contract issues to sort out"

Latest sky info!

This not working thing is great, I can see why people do it.

SSN claim we spoke to Adkins first, he wasn't sure he fancied a relegation scrap, so we went to Poyet...

The club will certainly spin it that way anyway.

Wasn't the best last year though tbh  .

No one in the history of the world has ever been deliriously excited about replacing a bloke called Brian with a bloke called Nigel.

The spin will almost certainly be that he was the first choice but his contractual position with Southampton led to some sort of nebulous delay until we finally got our man.

Why the negativty. I for one was fed up of our style of Football. Adkins is experienced in getting promotions, and will get us playing the ball out from the back. Good appointment.

Has anyone pointed out to him that he was perhaps wrong to state categorically that the deal was dead, unless he believes in the resurrection?!
